About Ocean Township Democrats

Ocean Township is divided into 5 voting districts.
Each district can have two County Committee persons from each party. County Committee
persons are elected by the residents of their voting
district who belong to their political party every four
years at the primary election. All of the County
Committee persons form the Democratic (or Republican)
Municipal Committee.
The
responsibilities of District Committee persons include
recommending poll workers and challengers for elections,
welcoming new members into the party, and distributing
literature in their districts.

The
Waretown Democratic Club was formed in 2005 by Bette
Silverman. Club members help raise money for the
campaigns, provide programs of interest to the residents
and conduct monthly meetings.
The Waretown Democratic Club meets on the 2nd Wednesday
of the month at the Community Center on 11th
Street.
Dues are $10 per year. To join and help make our Township a
